Genetic regulation of growth and body composition

We have an expanding number of projects investigating the effects of genetic variation on fetal and post-natal growth and body composition. These studies are based upon our detailed longitudinal growth phenotypes of individuals from our ‘core villages’. One of our ongoing projects is a study of the genetics of malnutrition (as measured by stunting) in collaboration with the MAL-ED, A Global Network for the Study of Malnutrition and Enteric Diseases and colleagues at the University of Virginia (USA).
